Team Oriented

TEAMS

Teams point south—toward renewal and a return to our roots. Just as the southern direction offers rest and restoration, we are called to ground ourselves in faith through team involvement. Camps, Unleashed Kids University, food distribution, or Lantern and Compass mission trips are some of the opportunities that allow us to strengthen our foundations, deepen our connections, and serve others, all while growing in our spiritual journey.

Why Join a Team?

– People volunteer because they want to guide others into a relationship with Jesus, only to come through their experience more in love with Him.
– While using their unique gifts and talents they discover how they can meet, love and share God as they serve others.

Target Specific Teams

These are short-term commitments that may last a day, an entire week or one day a week.
There’s an opportunity for everyone to serve others in some capacity.

A target specific team provides opportunity that fits your schedule and availability and tailored to your specific gifts and talents.

Options can include food distribution, camp team member, Unleashed Kid University weekly teaching team and more.

College Student Team

Designed for college age students to explore and immerse themselves in various areas of ministry for a summer or for an entire year.

Students take the time necessary to solidify their relationship with Jesus and discover their purpose.

A wide variety of team opportunities that will help each student discover ways to serve others. Learn More

Mission Teams

Through collaborative efforts, a mission field here in the United States is paired with a group of adults and kids as young as 10 that desire to reach the lost

Immersed in a different culture, Lantern and Compass mission teams serve others in real and practical ways.

Youth and adults work together giving people hope through the message of Jesus’ love and forgiveness.

Volunteer for a Team

  • Summer Camp Team

All I can say is WOW! The Lord definitely moved among our team as He is stretched us to rely more on Him and His agenda!  I was so grateful to be a part of Lantern and Compass for a few weeks. Terry and the Team are on fire for a move of God in the children and the Lord is blessing them with unbelievable opportunities to present His truth!

Through this experience, I think I helped the children grow spiritually but grew so much myself (physically, mentally and emotionally).  This experience was phenomenal and when asked what was my favorite part, I said, “all of it!” There were times I was left speechless!  The experience and people were a blessing! It was an amazing, life changing experience.

This summer God moved in my life to tell me that the future is not worth worrying about. I am still wondering where I can use the gifts that God has given in the future, but if I worry too much about the future I would miss what God is and has been using me and my gifts all along in the present. You do not need a stage to do what God has called you to do. All you need is an open heart and a willingness to do God’s work.
